Jeff Forrest – the designer turning waste into wonders – exhibits at Design Miami 2022

Jeff Forrest is a design innovator concerned with the ever-growing problem of waste. His approach to design is to first consider manufacturing inefficiencies, the community, and the environment.

With a background in architecture and design, Forrest’s practice lies at the intersection of design, technology, and manufacturing. He started his first practice, STACKLAB, in 2013 to study various ways to manage waste materials. His Toronto-based, multidisciplinary design studio strongly believes design is a vehicle for critical thinking. Every problem is approached without bias toward a particular method or medium or even aesthetic to maintain its focus on impact.
